Audience targeting a critical consideration for 97 percent of companies
Apr 25th 2012, 14:00

Understanding the target audience is critical for 97 percent of the companies using the web for marketing.

As companies look to tailor their new media marketing campaigns to reach their desired audiences, targeting capability becomes increasingly important. According to PointRoll, 97 percent of companies say the ability to target their audiences effectively is critical to the direction and success of their campaigns.

Whether it's a content marketing campaign or paid search strategy, businesses looking to drive web conversions must ensure that their content is developed for the audiences they hope to reach. Those using blog or news content marketing to generate traffic and leads must be especially focused on creating copy that covers the right subjects with the correct tone and style. Developing an editorial brief that defines desired readers is an effective method of improving targeting.

Despite reported focus on targeting, 17 percent of companies believe they are missing out on conversion opportunities because they are not reaching the right audiences. Others have struggled in the past, but 49 percent said they are excited about the direction their targeting efforts are moving in.

Brafton has reported that companies using content marketing are especially focused on improving their targeting when developing their articles or blog posts, which necessitates thorough audience research before publication and regular analytics to find impactful content. The Association of Online Publishers found audience targeting was a top priority for content creators near the start of 2012, however, 86 percent said they needed to better leverage data to make informed targeting decisions.

HootSuite updates support integrated content marketing campaigns

HootSuite

Social media dashboard HootSuite recently rolled out a series of apps aimed at making it easier for companies to monitor different elements of their new media marketing campaigns. With BIA/Kelsey reporting that as few as 20 percent of companies effectively integrate their campaigns, HootSuite's additions may help organizations use different channels more effectively.

HootSuite rolled out five new apps as part of its announcement, each allowing organizations to see activity in real time to make strategic content decisions and control different channels from the web-based dashboard.

The new apps include integration with email service provider MailChimp, microblogging service Identi.ca and content-centric RSS Reader. Using social media marketing can help companies expand their prospect base and boost web leads. Since social is often included in email and content marketing campaigns, being able to control each of these apps in one place will simplify the process for business.

Businesses stand to benefit from each of these udpates:

  • MailChimp is a popular email marketing service. Monitoring social media activity, such as frequent questions and other pain points from prospects, often leads to new ideas for email campaign. The integration of the email tool with HootSuite means marketers can make adjustments to their MailChimp campaigns quickly.
  • Identi.ca is similar to Twitter and often used as an internal social media tool. Its integration with HootSuite will help those managing their business' social media marketing presence monitor colleagues' discussions directly from their HootSuite dashboard, and it can become a great tool for gathering business data that can be used for marketing purposes.
  • RSS Reader, Chime.in and Vision Critical Surveys apps will help organizations as well. Managing each of these platforms without having to navigate to other websites or open new windows will help marketers carry their plans out more effectively.

HootSuite's apps and integration are among the reasons companies rely on it to manage their social media marketing efforts. Brafton reported last year that HootSuite was among the first tools to integrate Google+. At that time, HootSuite also announced the availability for four other social platforms into its dashboard, including Involver and Hearsay.

Kaedah Penerimaan Bayaran Secara Online
Apr 25th 2012, 07:37

Komen saya: Seperti biasa. :)

Brafton: 79 percent of companies to increase social media marketing, integrated efforts rise

79 percent of companies to increase social media marketing, integrated efforts rise
Apr 24th 2012, 15:40

Nearly 80 percent of companies are planning an increased focused in social media marketing.

A report from Kelton Research and PointRoll suggests that both social media and search marketing will receive significant budget lifts this year as marketers look to improve their new media marketing campaigns. Businesses relying on the channels have found that excelling in both helps them improve visibility on the web.

Seventy-nine percent of companies included in the study said they will spend more on social media marketing, while 16 percent don't expect their investment to change very much.

Thirty-seven percent of companies will spend more on paid search advertising with PPC. However, 55 percent expect to maintain their budgets for the foreseeable future. Despite limited growth in paid search, other data indicates investment in organic search efforts will increase.

The report from Kelton and PointRoll did not mention SEO. That said, Brafton recently cited data from Social Media Examiner, which stated that 68 percent of companies plan to make organic search a top priority moving forward.

In general, companies are leveraging multichannel marketing more frequently to direct prospects through conversion funnels. The majority of Kelton and PointRoll respondents integrate five to six tools for a single marketing campaign. Using social media marketing to link to a website populated with articles, blog posts and other forms of content can provide readers with information that sparks interest and compels conversion.

Brafton recently highlighted a study from the Custom Content Council and ContentWise that found white paper marketing is an increasingly popular form of content. As more organizations leverage content marketing in different ways, adding more in-depth white papers to a strategy can help a company establish itself as a thought leader.

11 Perkara KRITIKAL untuk Bisnes Servis
Apr 24th 2012, 07:17

Brafton: Facebook reports more than 900 million users

Facebook reports more than 900 million users
Apr 23rd 2012, 23:25

Facebook has seen massive growth in the last year in terms of monthly, daily and totals users.

Social media giant Facebook recently reported that it has surpassed the 900 million-user mark with more than 901 million accounts currently active on the network. The company reported this as part of its S-1 filing to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to Facebook, this represents a 33 percent increase from March of last year when the company reported more than 680 million users. On a daily basis, 526 million people access their accounts on the website. This figure represents a 41 percent increase from 2011 when an average of 398 million accounts were accessed daily.

In the U.S., an average of 129 million people access the site each day, compared to 105 million 12 months ago. On a monthly scale, 188 million Americans and Canadians regularly log into the site, which means more than 68 percent of account holders in the U.S. and Canada access the platform at least once each month.

Facebook's monthly global users has increased drastically in the last 12 months.

In terms of mobile and social activity, Facebook has seen similarly impressive gains in the past year. The company reported 488 million mobile monthly global users in March of 2012, compared to 288 million in March of 2011. Mobile social use is rising rapidly, with last month's figure representing more than 12 percent growth over December of 2011 when 432 million users accessed Facebook via portable devices.

Facebook use among American and Canadian users has maintained steady growth since March 2011.

As usage climbs, so does engagement. Facebook generated more than 3.2 billion Likes and comments per day combined, the company reported. This figure demonstrates the gap between Facebook activity and Google+ activity, with the latest figures from Compete indicating that the +1 button generated 2.7 billion shares over the course of a month.

Facebook attributes much of its recent revenue success to increased user engagement. "The average amount of content and feedback created by each user has continued to increase over time," the report affirms. This should be good news to marketers looking to generate brand interaction on the site.

Social media marketing on Facebook is increasingly popular, with more than 42 million businesses maintaining Pages on the network.

More companies are using Facebook as part of their social media marketing campaigns, and those already active on the platform plan to invest further. Brafton recently reported that 92 percent of companies using social to engage with prospects consider Facebook their top priority.

Brafton: 68 percent of marketers to increase SEO investment, email up as well

News Content Marketing
68 percent of marketers to increase SEO investment, email up as well
Apr 23rd 2012, 21:21

Companies are planning to increase investment in SEO, email marketing and other web channels moving forward.

As part of its Social Media Marketing Industry Report 2012, Social Media Examiner analyzed investment in multiple web channels. While the research focused on rising social budgets, the results indicate companies have found that a strong web marketing presence means creating effective presences on multiple channels.

Sixty-eight percent of companies included in the study said they plan to augment their efforts in organic search with a greater focus on SEO. Twenty-percent said they would not alter their search campaigns at all. Ten percent will either decrease their use of SEO or are not currently leveraging organic search marketing.

Those not using organic search marketing could struggle to appeal to the nearly 90 percent of consumers that use search to conduct research for purchase decisions. Failing to implement practices likely to improve SERP standing can prevent some companies from being discovered by potential customers.

While SEO was a top priority in terms of 2012 budgets, 61 percent of companies included in SME's poll said they will increase investment in email marketing.

With so many organizations using email to target prospects, it's critical that they use original content within their messages to keep prospects engaged. Brafton recently reported that one of the main reasons both consumers and B2B buyers subscribe to email marketing campaigns is to receive updates and informations from companies.
