Bagaimana Mendapatkan Trafik dan Membina Jenama dengan Mudah
May 1st 2012, 19:04

Social marketing drives four-fold growth in web marketing ROI
May 1st 2012, 16:41

Social media marketing campaigns have helped companies increase web conversions and marketing share drastically.

A report from PulsePoint and the Economic Intelligence Unit suggests that companies using social media marketing are having widespread success with their efforts in the channel. According to the study, social supports overall marketing goals while some businesses find it helps reduce costs without losing any capability, and the majority say it boosts overall return on web investments.

Eighty-four percent of marketers said that implementing social into their companies has made web marketing more effective. The growth of networks, such as Facebook, Twitter and others, has made them viable platforms for engagement and interaction with a broad audience of existing customers and new prospects.

Moreover, 81 percent of respondents said that social media marketing has resulted in a marked increase in their brands' market share. As they gain Likes and follows, they are seeing site traffic and web conversions increase as well, which has boosted their clout in their market.

Ultimately, businesses using social media marketing found an increase in return on investment in their web marketing spend of four times more than those without a social presence, PulsePoint reported.

Brafton recently reported that social media marketing success across the web has led to more companies investing in the channel. A study from Kelton Research found that even companies currently active with social are spending more this year, with 79 percent planning increased investment.

Smartphone market up 42 percent, news content marketing rises to the forefront
May 1st 2012, 17:19

The global smartphone market increased more than 42 percent in the last year.

A report from IDC suggests that companies looking to alter their marketing campaigns may want to target smartphone users. The study found that global smartphone ownership increased by more than 42.5 percent in first quarter of 2012 compared to the same three-month period in 2011, and Brafton has previously reported that mobile web users are more likely to search for the latest industry news content.

Across Apple's iOS and Google's Android, growth has remained consistently strong as consumers and businesses opt for smartphones rather than feature phones. Currently, Apple's iPhone accounts for 18.3 percent of all mobile phones currently in use, according to IDC. Gauging Android's market share from IDC's numbers is difficult due to their inclusion of feature phones. Brafton recently reported that mobile activity, especially search, is rising on most major mobile operating systems.

For marketers, smartphone users' constant web access presents more opportunities to improve web marketing campaigns and over site traffic. The internet-connected devices allow owners to browse the web with few limitations more frequently. This has driven news content consumption, with 78 percent of tablet owners saying they keep up with news more regularly now that they can search for updates on the go. As such, regularly updated content marketing campaigns aimed at attracting more users and driving them through the conversion funnels can reach an even wider audience.

In addition to boosting news readership, Brafton recently reported that smartphones and other mobile devices have become integral tools for those looking to learn more potential purchases. Developing custom content as part of a search marketing campaign can help companies appeal to mobile users turning to search to start their product research. Nineteen percent of consumers said that they use their smartphone regularly when reading about products.

Study: Facebook marketing lifts traffic, email content drives conversions
May 1st 2012, 15:53

Facebook marketing has helped companies boost site traffic, while email campaigns are more reliable for conversions.

A study from ExactTarget found that email marketing and social media marketing are having profound effects on companies, but they are supporting business goals in different ways. The report suggests that social marketing campaigns that include Facebook are driving website traffic and expanding brand appeal. Meanwhile, email marketing leads to more conversions.

ExactTarget found that 66 percent of consumers have made a purchase directly after receiving a message from a business they subscribe to. Facebook also has its role in impacting purchases decisions with 20 percent making purchases influenced directly by a Facebook marketing message, but the data indicates that email is a more conversion-friendly marketing strategy.

The study suggests that marketers consistently analyze email content and the website content linked in messages to make improvements based on those garnering the most interaction.

In terms of social media marketing, most audiences do not regularly convert directly from a Tweet or Facebook update. However, social's value lies in the interaction consumers have with the businesses they Like or follow.

For companies looking to improve social engagement, a recent study from the Harvard Business Review highlighted by Brafton found that branded, informative social content is most likely to improve prospect responses. One-third of respondents said social content that includes valuable information was worth reading, while 36 percent enjoy engaging with brands that promote different products or services on social.

Tiga FOKUS Yang Perlu Usahawan Utamakan
May 1st 2012, 15:50

Seorang usahawan biasanya terlibat dengan tiga fokus berikut:

  • Fokus 1: Membina sebuah empayar perniagaan
  • Fokus 2: Menjual produk/perkhidmatan.
  • Fokus 3: Membina bidang kepakaran diri.

Fokus 1: Membina Empayar Perniagaan

Fokus 3: Membina Kepakaran Diri

Social marketing increasingly reaches Hispanic-American audience
May 1st 2012, 14:49

The American Hispanic community has become increasingly active on social with Facebook leading the way.

A report from Zpryme Research and Consulting found that the Hispanic population in the United States is increasingly connected to the web and more active on social networks. For marketers targeting this segment of the population, an increased focus on social media marketing could help boost appeal to the Hispanic community.

According to Zpryme, 69.7 percent of Hispanic-Americans own a laptop, while more than 51 percent use a smartphone. In terms of tablets, 18.8 percent said they use these mobile devices, which mirrors the 19 percent of all Americans using tablets (following increased sales for the devices during the holidays).

The most common activity on these devices among Hispanics is checking social media. More than 79 percent of respondents said they were are active on Facebook. No other platform was nearly as popular as Facebook, but several different networks have garnered significant interest from the Hispanic population.

Following Facebook, here's the social breakdown of Hispanic Americans:

  • Twitter use was reported by 29 percent of respondents.
  • Myspace is still popular with more than 23 percent.
  • Google+ is used by 19.2 percent of Hispanic Americans.
  • Linkedin rounds out the top five platforms among this audiences, used by 12.3 percent

Regardless of the platform, it's clear that companies looking to improve popularity within the Hispanic community can use social media marketing to do so - and they can increasingly reach these social shoppers while they're on the go using the mobile web.

Brafton recently reported that mobile web access across all major racial demographics has increased in the United States. In general, more than 29 percent of American said they use the mobile web regularly.

Brafton: Google expands query data access in Webmaster Tools for better SEO insights

Google expands query data access in Webmaster Tools for better SEO insights
May 1st 2012, 13:30

Google has expanded its query tools in Webmaster Tools to go back 90 days.

In its Webmaster Central blog, Google announced that marketers can now analyze query data going back 90 days to provide a more complete look into search activity surrounding their websites. According to the company, the previous setting of 35 days prevented some from properly analyzing the paths prospects took when landing on their websites.

For marketers, understanding the search terms prospects use to land on sites is crucial to developing an effective SEO strategy. Content marketing campaigns are reliant upon the keyword strategies businesses use to ensure that articles have optimum value for both users and search crawlers. Being able to see which terms have driven more traffic to a site over the course of 90 days will provide a better understanding of prospect behavior.

Javier Tordable, tech lead for Google Webmaster Tools, said the company has also made adjustments to allow marketers to see data as soon as they verify ownership of a website. Tordable said that marketers often had to wait a couple days before they could begin using search data after proving they managed the domain.

Having more expansive Webmaster data can help marketers create better content for their users. Rather than focusing on a limited number of terms for content marketing campaigns, developing articles or blog posts that use multiple terms or phrases that have proven to be valuable traffic drivers over time will make content appeal to different audiences.

Brafton recently reported that a new Google search algorithm targeting spammy keywords and link schemes further builds website content to ensure a strong user experience as essential to SEO. As this algorithm, dubbed Penguin, evolves, content strategies that contain natural keyword usage will likely succeed while sites with keyword stuffing will see their search rankings suffer.
